Here's some comments from students and past masterclass/clinic attendees:

"Jean completely changed the way I play the bass. His instruction has greatly influenced my technique and sound and I now regularly get complimented on my playing because of him. He delivers information in a manner that is easy to understand and he is very patient. Lessons with Jean are a very rewarding experience and a great opportunity." - Allison - Greenbrae, California

"I highly recommend Jean Baudin as a bass instructor. His ability to explain the material covered in a clear and concise manner (and his patience) combined with his innate ability make him the perfect choice for bass players of all levels." - Jamie - Eugene, Oregon

"Jean has opened up a whole new world of bass playing for me. He has helped me realize a higher potential of bass playing that I never knew existed. He is THE pioneer of extended range bass. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to study with Jean then do it...you'll be blown away" - Dave - San Mateo, California

"I was lucky enough to have one on one lessons with Jean and it has taken my bass playing to a whole new level!! My finger strength and stamina increased 100% with the exercises he has taught me, now I can tap very tricky arpeggios and tunes with ease!!!! No matter what style of music you play, Jean can open your eyes to new ways of playing it!! -Brandonie, Fresno Ca.

"I attended a clinic at the LODO BASS BASH featuring Jean last year. Jean does a good job of taking the whole group of students through samples of his technique step by step. He breaks down pieces of complicated sounding music and makes them understandable and manageable for players of all levels - beginner to pro. He even takes the time to go one on one with each individual student listening and making sure they are playing the music correctly. If you want some insight into tapping on bass regardless of the number of strings I highly recommend attending one of Jean's clinics." Shannon - Martinsville, Virginia

"Jean is a great teacher with a wide knowledge of bass technique. He is fun to play with and just to talk to. He explains everything very clearly and well, just the sort of teacher anyone needs really. Taking lessons with Jean is just fantastic!" James Conelly, Santa Clara, California.

"Attending Jean's Master class on tapping in Paris was a major boost for me both technically and personally. Jean's didactic approach, his drive and passion were an incredible recipe for success: No one in the room wanted this master class to end! I particularly appreciated the fact that Jean managed to spend some time with each one of us, giving personalised advice and tips and sharing his valuable experience when we were practicing the different exercises. The material covered was cleverly selected and prepared so that regardless of our initial knowledge of tapping each of us could quickly use the concepts and technique in our own playing, I still use the provided booklet for reference. Strongly recommended!" - Glen, Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain

"I went to Jean's master class in Paris back in 2006. His approach to tapping and teaching in general is refreshing and innovative. He was very patient and tried to include everyone. Even after 4 years, the samples provided in the booklet are still fun to play and allow me to be creative with them. The samples demonstrate the various ways of using tapping while remaining very musical at the same time. I can only highly recommend attending one of his master classes, you won't regret it !" - Laurent, Hosingen, Luxembourg

"Before I heard Jean Baudin tapping on a bass, I thought this technique was only for guitrarists. But since I attended his masterclass in Paris, I know how to do it right on my bass. He is a great instructor and a very nice person with a lot of patience. It was for me a great experience and I recommend everyone to attend, at least, once in their lifetime a masterclass with Jean." Fred - Ollioules, France

"Before I met Jean, I was not much of a tapping bassist. Watching his clinic at the Lodo Bass Bash was amazing, but the best part was when Jean started to show us his techniques for improving accuracy and stamina. Though I still don't tap much, I use Jean's techniques daily to warm up before shows, recording sessions and before long practices. It helps improve my accuracy and endurance every time - Thanks Jean!" C3 - Denver, Colorado

"Jean is the awsomest bass teacher. He has given me rigorous and unique exercises to build up my arsenal of techniques to attack the music I want to play. I've always been a huge fan of his musicianship but he can handle and precisely teach me any song or style I want to learn. Beyond his great personality and patience, his own experiences in avant garde music and art has pushed me into new ways of artistic thinking and artistic styles both musically and beyond..." - Nick - Corte Madera, California
